Commission Process
Interested in a commission? Let's talk! Commissions are currently open. Please complete a contact form and Lauren will respond to you ASAP. Please note: completing the form does not guarantee the commission will be accepted.
Timeline: The length of time it takes to complete a commissioned painting varies by size and how complicated the composition is. An estimate of the time it will take to complete the painting will be discussed before the commission is accepted. Process: The first step is the selection of a reference photo. Some people know specifically what they want, some people don't know where to start. Both are great! The discussion starts with size of painting, types of flowers preferred, and desired color palette. Lauren will take reference photos after acquiring fresh flowers, unless you have a photo you have personally taken (must comply with copyright laws) for Lauren to use as a reference. The reference photo will be agreed upon by both parties before any paint touches canvas. Payment: Lauren will present a price for the piece once the reference photo has been agreed upon. One month before starting the commission, a 30% non-refundable deposit is due. The remainder is due upon completion of the painting, but prior to delivery of the piece. If for any reason the buyer decides to not go forward with a commission once the painting has been started, the deposit will not be returned and the remainder of the payment is no longer due. Lauren reserves the right to sell the painting elsewhere. |
